Increase Brain Power and Improve Memory by Playing Games

When it comes to brain power and intelligence most people fall into the category “average”. Nearly 80% of the world’s population is average. And there is nothing wrong with this except the fact that most of them are perfectly fine with it. The majority likes to be categorized as average and does nothing to change that status.

However, some people do not want to be average. They strive to better themselves and go to extraordinary lengths to get out of the average group. Many will say that they are more intelligent or smarter, but it this really true? Of course it is not. Genetic inheritance and intelligence play a role, but every person has the capacity to increase brain power, to boost memory and to improve concentration.

Play mind games and increase brain powerSadly, most people do not do anything to change this. They think that it is impossible and do not make even a slightest effort to improve. And it is so easy to make a difference.  There are various ways to improve memory power and to increase concentration. And they are not boring or time consuming. You can try to regularly exercise, relax, eat healthy food and socialize a lot.  You can even improve memory by 10% by only moving your eyes side to side for 30 seconds every morning. This simple action gets the two sides of the brain working in harmony.

If you do not have enough time or if you simply do not really want to make serious effort there is an amazingly simple way to achieve all of the above mentioned. Play games. Yes, simple, easy, fun games, mind games.  The most obvious one would be chess, but any game that requires you to use your brain will do the job. These games stimulate the mind helping the brain grow new neural pathways, improving your mental abilities.

So, play chess with a friend. Make a habit out of doing crossword puzzles. Play Sudoku. But don’t forget Reversi, MineHunter, Mahjongg Solitaire, Checkers and Chinese checkers. Also, there are different word games that will help too. You can find these games and much more on line. So, it is that easy to start your brain training. Do not hesitate. Make an effort and you will soon see the benefits.

Increase brain power and improve memory by playing mind gamesHowever, have in mind that you will need to change the game as soon as it becomes too easy for you. You should do this because by the time you’ve reached adulthood, your brain has developed millions of neural pathways that help you process information quickly, solve familiar problems, and execute familiar tasks with a minimum of mental effort. But if you always stick to these well-worn paths, the brain does not receive the stimulation it needs to keep growing and developing. And you want to achieve the opposite.

Sorry but I have to agree with the comment that you don’t relaly know what TRUE brain fog is. I have Lyme Disease and I can tell you that all your little suggestions have no impact on TRUE brain fog. Of course eating better will help to some degree but will not eradicate TRUE brain fog. The condition you speak of is a rather vague way of describing a feeling that most people get on occasion and is transient. TRUE brain fog is 24/7, 365 and feels like your brain is on novocane.
